Owner's Description

A rainbow of colors graces both the Obverse and Reverse rims of this outstanding coin from Northeast Numismatics. The astonishing contrast between the array of colors on the rims – shades of reds, golds, greens and purples – and the incredible mint luster of the central devices is what drew me to this coin. Further study indicates a very good strike and extremely limited amount of contact for this gem. The most noticeable marks (magnified) are a couple on the Reverse hidden in the feathers of the Eagle's left wing.<br />This coin is housed in an older style NGC holder. Though there is a feeling in the market that both NGC and PCGS were about one point stricter, on average, in the early days of third party grading, I find this coin to be accurately graded as a MS65.
