Owner's Description
1907 $2 1/2 PR66 Ultra Cameo NGC. This Superb Cameo Proof is extremely well defined throughout with lustrous devices and deeply mirrored fields. The obverse is brilliant with rich yellow-gold color and the reverse is similar, with a hint of orange toning. The original mintage of the 1907 proof quarter eagle was just 154 coins, and it is generally believed that only about half that number, or a little less, still survive today. Of the 65 or 70 coins that do survive, few are in Superb condition as many have been cleaned, and now exhibit hairlines or other problems. Census: 5 in 66 UC, 2 finer(2/06).
