Owner's Description

The smallest denomination, 50 centavos (S101) is the note in the collection representing the Aguan Navigation and Improvement Company. The other denominations are much more difficult to find, and then usually in much lower grades, with the 10 pesos being the most likely to be seen. The front of the note displays a central portrait of Luis Bogran who served as President from 1883 until 1891 and supported the project. On the left is a female figure – representing the River Aguan, Trujillo or Honduras? The back indicates the denomination and terms that the note was issued under.
