Owner's Description

The representative note is $5000 first issued in 2013 (P40) and this is acknowledged with the ND(2013) label on the holder. This particular note is Series BP and was issued in 2018 as the signatories are Bobind Ganga (Governor) and Winston Jordan (Minister of Finance) rather than Lawrence Williams and Ashni Singh for the 2013 issue. The back of the note shows the typical landscape in Guyana and the national bird – the hoatzin, which seems to be unique in the bird world with blue skin and a fascinating adaption to life in the rain forest meaning it is also referred to as the ‘Stink Bird’!
