Owner Comments
Thid note is my boast as a proud Canadian Collector of special notes. This 1911 crisp and fresh as the first day note is a magnificent U serial $1 with Hyphen. 64 Choice Uncirculated EPQ specimen. When I was a young collector, my club leafet would call these ancient Dominions "bearer notes" because they have "will pay to the bearer" scrolled in an arch style above the oval portraits of Lord and Lady Grey, the Governor General and Commander in Chief of the Dominion of Canada. Earl Grey had more power than the prime minister of the day Sir Wilfted Laurier. Canada's Gov. General is only ceremonial now. He left ofice and returned to England in 1911. Please review the pictures of this note. The scroll work, design, engraving, and picture of the Canada's Parliament Building is worth purusing.

Owner Comments
It has a tear and heavy folding but you must remember that this bank note was portable and folding would allow the owner to hide it. This note bears an oval portrait of King George V on the front with the Parliament Library of Ottawa on the reverse. This note is a VF20 Series C- Group 2, Green Seal.
