The vignette title "Concordia" showing two maidens before an altar was designed by T.A. Liebler and engraved by Charles Burt. On the reverse is Landing of the Pilgrims engraved by Charles Burt. A beautiful $1 note from the 1875 series or the Original Series of NBN's. I feel the obverse and reverse art of the notes makes them excellent historical items to cherish and preserve and also to have a fantastic invest!

Picked up at LK in Oct 2019. Incredible colors grace this note. This is a very early bank in Onoadaga County with just 47 large notes reported, and only four are Lazy Deuces. This note appears as the one listed as VF 30, while this note is not a '35' it's a great example. I can find no sales records for a nice Deuce on this charter. Fantastic pen signatures and amazing color.

This bank was established as a national bank around October 2, 1865, the plate date. Although there are 86 large notes reported this is the only $5 First Charter known. Other Original Series notes include two $1's and one Deuce, while most notes known are Third Charters. In fact, according the NBNC this is the only $5 note in existence for this bank, of any charter! However, T&P lists two $5 notes. The one that is not this note is SN 3288 with the same plate position, B. I am positive this was a cataloging error as look at the serial number here, 3283, and you can see how it could easily be mistaken for a 3288. This note is lovely quality with wonderful pen signatures and exceptional quality.
