Set Description:
My love for the X-Men goes back to when I bought my first issue, #136, off the news-stand. Talk about walking into the middle of a story. I missed issue #137 and then with issue #138 I managed to get a brief X-Men history lesson. Issues #139-143 dazzled me and I was hooked. From then on, I was all about getting as many back issues as I could afford. I saved up $60 and went to my local comic shop that had issue #94 displayed for the past month ready to fork over my cash. It was to my dismay to find it GONE!! I instead bought issue #95 which I estimate at about a 9.0 for $35 which was some small consolation. At any rate, the saga continues. Most of these books were picked up off of eBay and some from ComicLink. Only a few are ones that I purchased as a youngster. That being said, I will never be able to afford 9.4s and 9.6s so I am content with the 7.0s and 8.0s that for some reason people don't really like as they tend to favor low and high grade issues according to the Overstreet market reports?!?! Oh well, I guess I'll take em. Mine is the Land of Misfit Toys for X-men and hence the collection name.
