Riders on the Storm. Needing the Fire? Check out the Nuclear Power on this guy! Safety codes in place, as we read how the fire gets a real chill in this ongoing series. There were many a 1st in the 70's, and particularly around 1974. It must have been the time of the season, when the leaves were brown and a patch of snow on the ground. California dreaming they were, on such a winter's day. Nuclear Winter? God forbid, as it may all come to a head, sooner rather than later.
Break on Through the Doors to the Other Side, as it is about to get hot in here, along with the storm a brewing. Firestorm taking it by the roots of the 70's.
A closer look is a cause to revisit the confidence of excellence that comics represent, be it the 50's, 60's, or now 1970's. All is on the table for confronting comics from any age, this takes consideration the times and ages in a culture. Firestorm himself has come down to valuable offerings within modern teams and groupings that he can be trusted and muster some help to further a cause, even decades later. 1974 to be exact was an ample opportunity to come up with issue #1's that were ongoing and mostly for a while and not being cancelled, of course that is until Star Wars #1 for obvious reasons. Saving the game is all good, and comic fans are the better for it, when now we revisit! New eyes and good minds can always recall but like foods or moods it is always nice to let our hearts keep out for perspectives of rekindling a basis for love, when comics are comics and delving out for the joy, they "all" should bring.
