Owner's Description

This 1868-S double eagle, which has a mintage of 837,500 pieces has a nice luster with signs of peach and orange colors still visible throughout. It is, however, a common issue in circulated grades, particularly in the Very Fine to About Uncirculated range. In Mint State the issue is 'very rare.'
