Owner's Description

This 1857-S NGC AU 58 is an example of a high grade 1857-S coin that went into circulation rather than a SS Central America victim. It has good eye appeal and still retains an orange and peach tone. It is a very atractive Coronet Type 1 Double Eagle from the San Francisco Mint.
