Owner's Description
For the very first time in history, the U.S. Mint issued over 1 million proof sets this year. The quality of Franklins proofs struck this year is on the level with the 1956 Franklin. Because of this, finding a brilliant gem level Franklin is not that difficult to locate. Finding gem level cameo's is quite another matter though. Finding a coin with cameo devices on both sides in this year were difficult, because many Franklins were one-sided cameo's as the mint replaced dies as they wore down, not in pairs but per side as in years past. You could have a frosty obverse and the reverse would be brilliant. So acquiring a cameo or ultra cameo is a high priority to the Franklin collector. I was fortunate to find an exceptional raw Franklin from this year after much searching that graded PF69 Cameo. A Top Pop Franklin for this tier (one of 20 graded PF69Cam)
