Newfoundland 1919-C 25 CentKrause ID: KM#17Mintage: 163,939This is a really great example of the Newfoundland series of .925 silver 25 cent coinage. The obverse shows the bust of King George V. The 25 cent denomination coin was only minted in the years 1917 and 1919. Most Newfoundland coins experienced extensive circulation. Newfoundland coinage is fairly difficult to find in the higher grades due to the fact that hard coinage was preferred over paper money from 1865 thru 1947 due to two bank failures.
