Owner's Description

This was the third coin I purchased for my set and I submitted it with the other two. A nice 1988 coin will truly be an Ultra Cameo. This coin tends to show up on the market more than the 1989 even though the 89 is reported by most to have the same minting. The 1988 shows up about as much as the 1986 which has a minting of 10,000. Good examples of this coin abound so be sure to get one that is eye pleasing if you can. The 1988 Gold 1/2 Proof panda coin is unique due to the frosted field around the panda on the obverse. This field can be quite stunning and pop in good examples. Most sources have this coin listed as having a minting of 8,000. At least one source has the coin at 10,000 and based off of availability I believe this one is probably correct.
