Owner's Description

This example is the Crosby 1-A(scarce) in an early die state.<br /><br />This coin has the best detail/strike/die state/toning/originality combo I have seen on a LG 'US' nova c in three years of searching. The balance is important to me. Further, the surfaces possess nice even toning and no noticeable problems that would be expected to plague a 223 year old coin. AU53?? I would think higher.. <br /><br />Note: On the obverse, notice the additional denticle fragment in the field at two o'clock. Interesting enough, this error is present in all of the 1783 LG 'us' Ray varities. Further, the larger all seeing eye is rotated 10-15 degrees clockwise. On the reverse, aside from the larger US, observe the almost non-existant gap between the date and letters of "Libertas" and "Justitia." What a tough coin to find in this condition!
