Owner's Description
Signed by cover artist Gerald Parel! Thanks goes out to Ben Judkiewicz for helping me get this book in my collection. Also pictured is my additional blue label 9.8 copy of the book. When I decided to submit a few books for Gerald, I decided to look for fresh raw copies rather than crack the ones I already have and risk a grade drop.
After submitting the entire Reborn miniseries for grading, for the foreseeable future, my goal will be to maintain collecting this series as long as Ed Brubaker is writing the book. I feel I have enough Signature Series books in this collection and I will probably try to focus on only getting special books or books of significance for particular covers, artists, events, variants, etc. graded under the Signature Series label.
I'm definitely digging the current cover artist and am enjoying this post-Reborn story arc. This issue marks the start of "Two Americas", as it deals with a dangling plot thread from before Reborn, specifically Bucky and the Falcon searching for the crazy-Cap of the 1950's. It seems crazy-Cap has been busy recruting people for a diabolical plot and he's stealing some hi-tech gear to set it in motion! An interesting note in this issue is that Nick Fury gives Bucky an upgrade for his cybernetic arm, making it look and feel like flesh, now that Bucky-Cap is the public-Cap.
I do hope that eventually Steve Epting returns to this book.
