Owner's Description
The CGC graded 9.8 copy of Detective Comics 497 has "landed" in the collection after several years during which I looked for a near-perfect copy of this book. Although I was finally able to obtain this issue for this set, the cover is rather depressing; Batgirl sits dejectedly in a prison cell as Batman and company look at her thinking-but they can't-did she do it.
The great Jim Aparo is the cover artist for this issue and, as to be expected, crafted another gorgeous cover.
This book is a keeper unless a CGC graded or "raw" 9.9 or 10 copy were to come along.

I have not yet been able to find and obtain a 9.8 (or 9.9 or 10) copy of Detective Comics 497. Perhaps 2013 is the year that I do.)
