I made a goal that over the next two years to knock out the remainder of the old crowd to have one book each signed by them. For Jim Shooter, it was the first appearance of Parasite. Growing up in my teenage years there was a secondhand book store that opened up in town that sold old copies of various superman comics from the 60's - 80's. I focused more on the 70's and 80's due to prices and allowance but there were a few copies of Parasite in that lot.
The only problem, I didn't own a copy of Action Comics 340 and kept loosing auctions for it close to the deadline for submitting books to Rich Henn for Mega Con Orlando 2023. I went to MyComicShop.com and bought a non-pictured book that said it was a 3.5 for $60. Normally, they are pretty strict graders but I knew getting the book there was noway it was a 3.5.
Jim Shooter signed and it came back a 5.0 so I really lucked out! You win some and you loose some.
Jim Shooter signed on 4/15/23 & CGC graded on 5/8/23. This had been a fast track submission.
