Amazing Spider-Man #362 features the 2nd full appearance of Carnage (Cletus Kasady)!
Overstreet 2023 NM- 9.2 value = $30.
According to the CGC Census Report as of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, out of a total of 8,773 Universal copies graded, 4,236 copies were graded in 9.8 with ONLY 15 copies graded higher: 10 in 9.9 and 5 in 10.0!
With these statistics in mind, this represents a rarity factor of 48.28% of the total population.

CARNAGE: PART TWO! I know that my collecting focus is primarily on ASM “1st appearance” issues, but how could I not want to add Carnage’s 2nd full appearance to Arachnophobia, if even the creators added a special caption on the lower right-hand corner of the front cover that reads: “THE VILLAIN SO AWESOME WE HAD TO PUT HIS NAME ON THE COVER TWICE!”
I personally LOVE this “Carnage and Venom vs. the Amazing Spider-Man” battle cover! Artists Mark Bagley & Randy Emberlin did a phenomenal job; Carnage and Venom look super deadly and ferocious as they are leaping towards Spider-Man with their claws and fangs ready to KILL! In turn, Spider-Man is featured kneeling on a rooftop with two clinched fists and prepared to do battle with perhaps two of his most life-threatening villains he has ever encountered! Since Spider-Man is battling Symbiotes—aliens from another planet; the bright yellow and white explosion-like background works perfectly, as it reminds me of a supernova or some interdimensional portal to represent the power, intensity and novelty of the combined forces of Carnage and Venom!
Moreover, on October 15, 2021, Carnage will make his official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with the world premiere of Venom: Let There Be Carnage! After the movie drops, I believe that demand for high-grade copies of ASM #362 will increase, as it features the 1st Carnage and Venom cover!
Although ASM #362 is not considered rare, as the total of Universal 9.8 copies equals more than half the entire population on the CGC Census, this particular 9.8 copy is exceptional because it is PERFECTLY WRAPPED and CENTERED and contains PERFECT WHITE PAGES!
It’s truly a remarkable copy! Although there are plenty of 9.8 copies on the market, very few sport perfect cover wrap, perfect staple placement and a perfect cut! With that said, this blazer was cut squarely; whereas the large majority of copies were cut at a less appealing bias angle. In addition, the color saturation is deep and bright and it presents exceptionally well for the assigned grade!
Furthermore, this is a rare Newsstand Edition, which is indicated by the UPC barcode in place of the Spider-Man Rectangle located on the bottom left-hand corner of the front cover.
In closing, I purchased this pristine beauty from mycomicshop (via eBay) in March of 2021! The transaction and communication went extremely well and I’m proud to showcase this immaculate copy in Arachnophobia!
