My second buy for this series. And it is a direct distribution edition.
I am sort of dumbfounded to find how few of these are rated CGC 9.8 (12 unsigned—and only “1” is signed at this grade)—a total of 10 are graded below 9.8 / 3 signed. I guess I expected there to be a lot more with the asking price of $25.00 for this issue (shipping $16.00 + $2.00 Alabama Sales tax = $43.00 total); not that I want to complain…just shocked. I bought this comic because I honestly doubt, I will ever find it again at this incredibly low price.
I acquired this issue from darkshade8816 (Ebay).

Synopsis for "Siege!"
Sarah Simms is accosted on the street by Mark Wright, who insanely persists in claiming to be her fiancé after she has told him repeatedly that they were never more than friends and co-workers. When a police officer intervenes in their altercation, Mark attacks him and takes his weapon. Now armed and raving, he drags Sarah into a nearby sporting goods store, which he takes over at gunpoint, wounding a cashier who tries to stop him. Using a rifle from the store merchandise, Mark holds off the police, who surround the shop, while Sarah takes advantage of his distraction to place a whispered phone call to Titans Tower. Cyborg, Changeling, and Raven, the only Titans on hand at the moment, arrive almost immediately, but their initial efforts to enter the store and disarm Mark meet with failure. While Changeling talks to the police, Raven teleports inside and tries to calm Mark, while Cyborg uses a finger-laser to enter the building through the ceiling. Finally, confused and surrounded, Mark puts down his weapon and collapses into Raven's arms.

Side Note:
Not signed (I can deal with it).
I didn’t intend this to be my second purchase for this series, but with the asking price, I could not refuse—plus, it’s the cheapest I have ever bought a CGC 9.8 comic. Guess, now, I am totally in with collecting this fabulous series. Childhood memories makes us do crazy things as we get older, I guess.
And, yes, I am very happy to have this copy even if it’s not signed. I remember leaving the “Quick Stop” (a convenience store back in ‘83) in Butler, Alabama with a (raw/ungraded) copy of this issue in hand. My twin and I talked about the predicament Raven and Cyborg found themselves in and how they resolved the crisis among other stupid and childish things back then.
It’s hard to believe this comic is 37+ years old.

Update:
Delay in posting because “CGC Registry” had to verify ownership of this comic had changed from darkshade8816 to me (which is understandable).
