Owner's Description
1st full appearance of Gambit. Glad to finally have a blue label! A 9.8 no less, it took a little of budgeting to accomplish. Looks great in my collection! I bought it off the boards, the one book that I forget the seller, as I should have written that down. Still a 9.8 1st Remy the New Orleans native, a thief, even of a thief's guild. He puts his good looks and smooth talk to work, a scammer really and full of tricks. A grifter perhaps, although most of his "ladies" know him as Remy. Not too bright and a bit overconfident, he is often times very successful in his endeavors. Not quite ruthless, as he'll protect a damsel in distress, so I suppose that he has some qualities that the X-men figure for redeemable. He makes his way and is often a suspect in time traveler's theories of the one who screws up the future. A lot of X-men just can't seem to catch a break, and this Remy as the thief Gambit is no exception to the rule.
Complete with a back cover picture of the Funko POP #31 of Comic Covers that I won in a CGC social media contest. Who could go wrong with a figurine of, "GAMBIT?!" With that popularized first issue of this 1991 series as the backdrop! Pull over you're going too fast, as the 90's come crashing in with an "OH, YEAH" from the Kool Aid Man, and a "The Name is Gambit! Remember IT!"
