Owner's Description

White Pages.
Perfect wrap and centering on front and back cover.
1st appearance of the Punisher (Frank Castle) and the Jackal.

What an exceptional copy. I spent years hunting for the very best example of this copy. I first spotted a good candidate back in 2011 but missed bidding on it. I ignored 9.8 after 9.8 copies due to the horrible miswraps and off-centering that plagues this issue's covers. I finally came across this exact copy when it was being offered for sale on ebay by a seller in Maryland whom I believe was Steve Geppi or a broker/dealer of his. Before I could negotiate a deal wtih the seller, the listing was ended much to my dismay. Later that fall, I discovered it on display for sale at Torpedo Comics booth at the New York Comiccon. I closely examined it and verified it was the same exact copy that was listed for sale on ebay earlier that year by its certification number. I couldn't believe it. I had promised myself that when I found it I would try to buy it. I spoke with the guys at the Torpedo Comics booth and after spending a half hour scrutinizing every detail of the book validating that this was the copy for me and also trying to convince myself that the price was worth it, I entered into negotiations with the guys from Torpedo. After some back and forth and funds verification we were able to come to an agreement and I left the convention with a HUGE grail and key collecting goal accomplished. This book is flawless. I consider this copy to be as close to a 9.9 or 10 and among the finest 9.8 copies in existence. The only other copy that I've seen that comes close to rivaling this one is the Professor Pecora copy.
