Owner's Description
Limited to 300 copies. Once again - Dynamite involving classic Red Sonja artists in doing covers for the new series. Really an excellent plat on their part, as far as I am concerned. While I do already have a Brunner signed cover from Red Sonja Vol 1 (Marvel), I was able to pick this up for a reasonable price so that I have something if another opportunity presents itself. The cover image itself is classic Brunner - particularly how he depicts her hair, which I have always liked. Sonja looks strong, standing over her kill, and the dead beastie looks really impressive. Once again - the short blade in her hand doesn't match the sheath on her thigh. I know that sounds weird - but it really does matter, and he's not the only artist I've caught doing that. Other than that - she looks like the skilled fighter she was written to be, with as good as stance as once can expect on the uneven footing and clean grip on her sword.
Overall - she's a badass, and Brunner is one of my favorite artists to draw her.
