I imagine a world where Conan and Groo exist... and even though a limited series was done recanting that take, mine is slightly different. It’s a world where Conan the Barbarian avoided Groo the Wanderer. As time goes and memory with it, I originally thought I purchased my Pacific Comics Groo set, along with this one by Eclipse at the Heroes Con in 2018. I was wrong. I found them in 2017 at the Baltimore Comic Con in a box filled with books for $2 a piece. I didn’t hesitate in placing them into my “going to buy” pile. After finding out Sergio Aragonés, Stan Sakai, and Mark Evanier were to be at Heroes Con 2019 I had a friend of mine get them signed for me. I picked the three best, the ones I thought would get a 9.8. This was one of them.
I am very happy to say that I am glad I do not have to resubmit this one to be pressed. I am also happy to say I am glad that Sergio even added a little doodle on the front cover. I might never be close to the best set in this small listing, but I’m happy I finally decided to jump into the cheese dip running with one of three books getting a 9.8.
