Owner's Description
I remember when Marvel began to advertise more cover for your money. The Thing was that book that they used to market the idea. His gruesome blue eyed face was shown in a smaller and larger version trying to show what they did to change the cover. This was one of those series that I started to collect with issue #17. I always considered it a fun book. I never paid attention to John Byrne's great story or artwork until years later when I followed his story with the Next Men. Don't get me wrong I did check out a lot of his work throughout the other Marvel titles I collected but I was still naive to who they were. I was also happier reading the books rather then the who's who of creating them. I will have to edit that last sentence later. As I was nearing the end of my New Mutants collection, of which I now only need two more in a 9.8 or better, I decided I needed another series to collect, originally I picked Ka-Zar the Savage, Sub-Mariner, Locke & Key, and then a few various sets, but none was a title I collected. This series might have been short lived but it was fun, even if Benjamin Grimm was placed in one rotten development after another, even staying behind on Battle-World.
I Started with two different issues and will buy more. I plan on taking my time because I also want to buy them raw again to reread the series from beginning to end.
