Owner's Description

x5 signed by Mark Waid, Ed Brubaker, Steve Epting, Dale Eaglesham and Kalman Andrasofzky. I managed to score a x3 signed 9.8 SS copy of the Alex Ross cover with sigs from Alex Ross, Steve Epting and Ed Brubaker to go with my 9.2 x7 signed copy that has Ed Brubaker, Steve Epting, Mark Waid, Dale Eaglesham, Kalman Andrasofsky, Stan Lee and Joe Simon.

There is a ton of content in this book featuring:

Origin by Alex Ross & Paul Dini
One Year After by Ed Brubaker, Butch Guice; Howard Chaykin; Rafael Albuquerque; David Aja & Mitch Breitweiser
In Memorium by Roger Stern and Kalman Andrasofszky
The Persistence of Memorabilia by Mark Waid and Dale Eaglesham
My Bulletin Board by Joe Simon (article)
Red Skull's Deadly Revenge by Stan Lee & Al Avison (1942 story)
Also featured is an extensive cover gallery with all the covers to every single issue of Captain America from Tales of Suspense #1 to Captain America #600.

I had Steve Epting sign both covers because his some of his art is actually used amongst Butch Guice's pages within the book. Plus with his contributions to the history of Cap, why not get him to sign both covers?

The big plot point in this issue is Sharon flashing back to the moment when she shot Steve Rogers in Cap #25. She shot him with no ordinary gun. She approaches the Avengers at a rally being held in memory of Captain America saying that they can still save Steve!

To be continued in Reborn.

Personal Note

On the label to the Alex Ross CGC SS cover, there is an error on the label that states Mark Waid signed the book on 8/28/09 with Eaglesham and Andrasofszky; it should read that Mark Waid signed the book on 6/19/09 with Brubaker and Epting.

Because the book is so thick, this is an extremely tough issue to find in high grade - spine imperfections and split corners are a bane to this book.
