Set Goals
I am an avid Atlas & Marvel Comics collector! Discovering these books printed by various publishers around the world has been an exciting revelation to me! I endeavor to build a collection of primarily Marvel Silver Age American Editions (along with some earlier Atlas Jungle titles and some later Marvel Bronze Age comics) and their counterparts by Mexican, British, Dutch, German, Greek and other publishers from around the globe. Where I can, I will try to acquire them in similar grades, unless I already have an acceptable American copy or it's just not very feasible due to cost. There is no price guide to my knowledge and very little available information about these "Other Nation Edition" issues, as they still feel like they're in their infancy. CGC doesn't even have set type listings for any of them as yet. So, the only way for me to share them via registry is to build them into a custom set.

Amazing Spider-Man 9 Mexican Edition Amazing Spider-Man 9 Universal The 1st appearance of Spider-Man's nemesis Electro published by La Prensa.
Amazing Spider-Man 10 American Edition Amazing Spider-Man 10 Universal 8.0 Amazing Spider-Man #10 is somewhat of an overlooked comic of the first ten issues in the title, basically due to what I believe to be the fact that there are so many stellar issues surrounding it in the run. However, on closer examination, this issue actually offers more than meets the eye. While not HUGE villains in the Marvel Universe, The Big Man (Fredrick Foswell) and the Enforcers (Montana, Ox & Fancy Dan) DO make several appearances collectively, such as the blockbuster issue of Amazing Spider-Man #14, also in issue #19. They also make appearances singly, as Fredrick Foswell figures into the Spider-Man continuity later in his issues run and Ox make numerous appearances in Daredevil's title, including some great cover appearances. Once again, more than meets the eye going on here. View Comic
Amazing Spider-Man 10 Mexican Edition El Sorprendente Hombre Arana 12 Universal 5.0 At the point in time that this issue was published, La Prensa had using other Marvel stories in this title, most notably Ant-Man stories from Tales to Astonish, which is why the numbering order varies slightly with Marvel at this time. Marvel issued its printing of Amazing Spider-Man #10 in March of 1964 while La Prensa followed with their version in April of 1964. View Comic
Amazing Spider-Man 14 American Edition Amazing Spider-Man 14 Universal 5.0 This issue is hard to top in the amazing lineage of Spider-Man's first title, as it's the first appearance of the Green Goblin, Spider-Man's most famous foe of all time!!! As if that wasn't enough, this issue also includes the first time that Spider-Man and the Hulk meet!!! And if you think you can stand just a little more, the Enforcers ALSO make an appearance!!! This is a super blockbuster key book if ever there was one!!! View Comic
Amazing Spider-Man 14 Mexican Edition Amazing Spider-Man 14 Universal 4.5 As La Prensa sprinkled in Ant-Man and Avengers stories into this title, they threw the numbering off a bit, as this issue was printed a few months behind its American cousins publishing date. Marvel originally printed Amazing Spider-Man 14 in July of 1964, while La Prensa lagged behind by printing their version in October of 1964. A classic key issue, offering the very first appearance of Spider-Man's most famous villain, the Green Goblin, as well as Spider-Man's first encounter with The Incredible Hulk!!! That's a LOT of action for 12c!!! View Comic

This Spanish printing by La Prensa was printed one month behind the Marvel cover date printing of Amazing Spider-Man #36. La Prensa gained publishing rights to this title fairly quickly and was frequently publishing the issues congruently, month for month, until they started publishing twice a month, which created the need for them to fill in gaps with stories from other Marvel titles like Avengers or Ant Man stories from Tales to Astonish. One of the things I love about collecting the La Prensa published copies is seeing the differences between them and their Marvel counterparts. Sometimes the changes are subtle, sometimes they're substantial. The interior and back cover advertisements and house ads are different as well and some of them are quite amazing!
