Owner Comments:

Pedro II 5 Reis 1695-P VF Details (Environmental Damage) NGC, Porto mint, KM3, LMB-1, Gomes-01.01 (Very Rare). Extremely rare two-date type authorized by the Royal Charter of February 10, 1704 that never actually ended up in circulation. From the first year of issue, this is presently the only example certified at NGC. The strike is quite thorough apart from one small central area, with the raised motifs juxtaposing well against the darker-toned fields. A very important relic, what would have been some of Brazil's first circulating copper coinage.
