Betts-469 Silver. This medal is one of the proclamation of Charles III medals in the Betts series. Charles III became King of Spain after his brother Ferdinand died in 1759. In 1779 he declared war against England therefore becoming an alley of the Colonies of America. Charles III was one of the signers of the Declaration of Peace at Versailles in 1783. This medal is a proclamation of Lima and features a bust of Charles III. The reverse is translated Publicly we swear allegiance to the best Prince. This medal has been holed.
