The 1916 D is certainly the key to the series, but also one of the most famous of 20th Century coinage. This example is a nice F12, would love to move up to a high-end EF or even an AU but in this case, money is an issue. This coin was originally purchased in an NGC holder graded F12 about 12 years ago, I did want the coin for my Album but all the advice I received was to not buy a 1916 D that hadn't been certified by a respected Authentication/Grading company like NGC. Thankfully, upon resubmitting it came at the same grade. DL
