Chicago die engraver C. H. Hanson created a medal based on an artist’s conception of the fair grounds and a unique
interpretation of the state seal, using the Golden Gate and Fort Point as a backdrop in place of the Sierra Nevada range. Microscopic signature below the bear. This medal is usually found holed.
There are a total of (25) MS 64's, (3) MS 65's, and (4) MS 66's listed as finer in the NGC census as of 1/2024.
Rarity R-6, Weight 5.02 grams, Size 38 mm.
