OBVERSE : A branch and cone of the Cedar pine (Cedrus brefifolia), a species unique to Cyprus. It is a protected tree and may not be felled or mutilated.
REVERSE : The emblem of the Republic of Cyprus. ( A dove flying with a branch of olive within its beak, in a shield inscribed with the date 1960. All within an open wreath of olive leaves). The date above the shield.
DIAMETER : 19.5 mm.

EDGE : Grained.
METAL COMPOSITION : Copper 75%, Nickel 25%.
