AR denarius, 42 BC BC, camp mint in Asia Minor or northern Greece, Legate Pedanius Costa; 3.73g LEG-COSTA Apollo head r. with laurel wreath//IMP-BRVTVS trophy. baby 42; BMC 59; Crawf. 506/2; Sear 209; Syd. 1296. RR Scarce flan, tiny. scratches, very nice. Acquired in July 1990 from Dieter Grunow, Berlin. Pedanius Costa was one of Brutus' legates in the fight against the triumvirs.
