1860 JOHN BELL CAMPAIGN PIECE ; DEWITT-JBELL-1860-2 ; "NGC MS 63 : Struck in LEAD , Holed as issued ; Deep Slate Patina over much of the surface with small areas that retain their original lighter tone. Satiny, pleasing and nicely preserved considering the soft and fragile metal. Rarely to have survived at this, let alone in this virtually 'as minted' state of preservation. The only example cited in Sullivan is listed as white metal however this is clearly lead and thus an unlisted composition." Ex. Al Anderson
