From the estate of Annie Enders
In the 1990's my Aunt Annie moved in to a nursing home after virtually spending her entire life under one roof. When she was a child this house had been a general store that her parents had run. While going through her possessions we found a drawer that had several hundred coins in it. This room was an area of the house that none of us could ever remember anyone being in. My aunt was a bit of a hoarder and you couldn't get to this desk without doing a major amount of work.
The coins in the desk were all well circulated Indian Head cents, Liberty nickles and other small denomination from the era. I was allowed to purchase the lot for $200 which at the time was a ton of money for me. I was thrilled that there were 2 1877 Indian Head cents. This is the better of the 2. Despite the low grade I will never part with it. This group of coins sent we on the numismatic path that I am still on today.
