This is one of those coins that when I saw it just screamed at me to pull the trigger and buy it. It didn't really go with my normal buying area but of course caused me to do a lot more research in this area.
An important one year type with a mintage of 2,485 pieces. Strong eye appeal. This scarce issue is the only thaler issued by the canton of Vaud. Catalog reference: HMZ 2-997a. KM 17, Dav-362. Note: 616 pieces were melted in 1851
