Giordano page 17 with reference CM14a (c.1901) token used in a Whist game with another 3 other similar pieces having the effigy of other royal monarchs namely the Duke of York (spade design), Queen Victoria (Heart design), Prince of Wales (club design).
They were issued in copper, cu/Ni, silver and gold. The silver and gold sets are extremely rare. I have only managed to obtain a copper set thus far. Hard to obtain MS grades in these whist game tokens.
