Portrait of JOHN XXIII left, Vatican Logo, RTD Monogram Signature of Medallist, legend below Pope JOHN XXIII. Bas Relief Cast Plaquette with integral loop on back for hanging if desired. Approx 9 x 7 inches. From the collection of Jonathan Brecher (Co-editor of the 2nd edition of the standard catalog of So-Called Dollars). Pope Saint John XXIII, born Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli, reigned from 28 October 1958 to his death in 1963. Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli was the fourth of fourteen children born to a family of sharecroppers that lived in a village in Lombardy.
