Lyman Allen #2.03 (KM #163) - Mintage: 10,000,000
This issue is generally well struck, and uncirculated Red and RB specimens are relatively common. It was the last centavo struck by the Philadelphia mint for general circulation. It is also interesting to note that one centavo coins were the only denomination minted for general circulation at the Philadelphia Mint in 1905.
The obverse of this particular coin is fairly typical, however the reverse exhibits a better strike than most. The eagle's breast feathers show significant detail and the stars and stripes on the left side of the shield are very well defined.
I was pleased to find this coin and add it to my collection.
