Owner Comments:
Sister coin to the 2004 Canada dollar celebrating the first French settlement. This honors Champlain and has a front view of the ship..a superb gem example with glass like surfaces - I know that the photos are unusual for this coin. The Special Proof finish creates a total mirror where if light does not come from the side the details disappear. This is this best idea I could come up with, and I think it looks pretty cool.
