St Pierre and Miquelon, a group of islands located off the coast of New Brunswick Canada, are the last vestigaes of French control from their North American colonization. This coin minted in 1948 was the only year that seperate coinage was minted bearing the archipeligo's name. - How great for me to find a ship coin that also has the obverse bust of France's Marianne--which I love and also collect--last vestige of France in North America
