Owner Comments:

1909-S NGC MS64. Regarding the photo; I used outdoor bright sunlight with a sheet of wax paper for a light diffuser. I used manual settings of macro-focus, f8.0 and 125th of a second exposure. The wax paper was much easier to use than a plastic milk carton. It is not a perfect picture, but I'm improving as I continue to experiment with coin photography. I had purchased this coin as a raw MS62 as one of my first St. Gaudens purchases. I was pleased to have it graded MS64, although I think this example may be in the lower half of this grade range. The strike is fairly strong, especially in the face and hands, but the grade limiting details are the horizontal bag markes above the date.
