Owner Comments:
The obverse shows the word LIBERTY and the period after it quite bold. In fact, it's probably as sharp as could be found on a Fine-12 coin. The portrait of Miss Liberty is quite good, considering the grade. It is in outline form, but the eye is well defined, and there is some evidence of the jaw. The hair strands can be made out. The date is worn away. This is unfortunate, for if this were not the case, probably the grade would jump to VG-8. The reverse shows the Chain, denomination, and fraction quite bold at the center. The inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is partially visible around the reverse, with the tops of the letters mostly gone. Although this piece obviously circulated for generations, it sustained no major problems other than normal wear
