1860D Variety 38-FF. This is a lower-mintage issue that is frequently seen with weak central details as is the case with this example. The issue is also rare in Mint State, making this AU58 example a conditionally significant rarity. Lightly worn, with a number of tiny surface marks, the piece remains somewhat lustrous, with noticeable semi-prooflikeness in the fields. Population: 18 in 58, 17 finer (2/07).
