Owner Comments:
Wanted to get the first year the "In God We Trust" Motto was put into use. After four long years of war, it caused them to add the motto to our coinage.
This San Francisco piece comes from an original mintage of 994,000.
While being considered a "readily available" option due to this mintage I find it interesting that NGC has only graded 111 total, with only 20 being MS. PCGS has graded only 229 total with 21 in MS. It would seem these are far more scarce than the price guides are currently indicating.
