1856 San Francisco

Mintage: 70,000
Obverse Dies: 1 Known

1856-S dimes are very challenging to locate in general and become rare above VF and extremely rare in Mint State. A single set of obverse and reverse dies were used for 1856 San Francisco coinage.

Plate Coin: Fortin 101a, Graded MS62 In Old PCGS Green Label Holder, Sharply Struck, Lustrous and Brilliant Surfaces With Gentle Splashes Of Warm Rose And Pale Iridescence, Formerly in Frog Run Collection
