Owner Comments:

I purchased this coin many years ago when a New England museum decided to sell their coin holdings. This coin has the best strike and surfaces of any 1926-D nickel that I have ever come across. The coin apparently sat for years in a display cabinet which turned the reverse side quite dark. Had the reverse side had the same luster as the obverse, PCGS probably would have graded the coin at least one or two points higher.
