Owner Comments:

I purchased this coin as part of a three-coin half dime lot at a November 2002 Bowers & Merena auction, where it was graded "EF-40". I graded it Ch. EF (45) at the time. In November 2022 NGC graded it AU 53! Whatever the grade, this is a decent specimen of the original design by Christian Gobrecht of the Liberty Seated half dime without stars.

I took the photos before NGC certified the coin.
