Minted in 1965 by the Royal Mint of England to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Apolinario Mabini. Mabini was a revolutionary leader, educator, lawyer, and statesman who served first as a legal and constitutional adviser to the Revolutionary Government, and then as the first Prime Minister of the Philippines upon the establishment of the First Philippine Republic from January 23, 1899 through May 7, 1899.
