Owner Comments:

First year of issue. This denomination was never liked by the public because it's size and design was easily confused with the then circulating seated quarter. The coin most circulated in the West due to a shortage of small change coins in that area. The Philadelphia mint struck far fewer 20 cent pieces than the branch mints, an unusual situation.
