Owner Comments:
The final, type III Gold Dollar, the Indian Large Head, had by far the longest run in years from 1856 to 1889. It has less than half the total mintage of type I, however as they were used less and saved more, they are less expensive in MS grades, but are a bit more in AU grades. This example is an excellent AU58 example, with a solid strike, nice surfaces and color providing for pleasing eye appeal.
